We are looking for a Health and Safety professional to assist in the delivery Valley Leisure’s H+S plan.
If you are highly motivated, have a professional H+S related qualification and experience of delivering practical health and safety we would like to hear from you.
39hrs per week. Salary is negotiable upon qualification and experience, circa £22,500.

F/T Fitness Instructor
As a Fitness Instructor you will be responsible to the Fitness Manager for ensuring the highest standard of exercise instruction and customer service at Andover Leisure Centre. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is motivated, driven and has a desire to work within health and fitness. The role will include: The induction of new clients to the gym and fitness facilities at Andover Leisure Centre. Reviewing short and long term goals with clients, discuss and develop programme and establish benchmarks. The development of exercise technique and personal training of clients. Providing a high standard of customer service in all areas of the role. Applicants must hold a level 2 Fitness Instructors qualification. Level 3 GP referral is preferred.
The position is full time based at Andover Leisure Centre.
Salary £12, 000 - £13, 600.

P/T Outreach Advisor
As Outreach Advisor you will be a part of the sales team at Valley Leisure, responsible to the Front of House Manager for achieving and exceeding sales targets. Applicants should be able to work flexible hours and hold a valid UK driving licence. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is motivated, driven and has a desire to work within sales, health and fitness The role will include: Arranging site visits to promote memberships within the group of Corporate contacts. Proactive lead generation outside of the leisure centre. Achieving and exceeding targets. Liaising with the in house customer advisor team. Maintaining a high standard of customer service. Covering membership advisors as and when required. . Proven sales experience is essential, with qualifications/experience in health and fitness desirable.
The position is part time based at the head office in Andover.
£7.82 per hour upon completion of probation.

Aqua Bump Instructor
This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about exercise instruction, driven and has a desire to work within health, fitness and leisure. As an Aqua Bump Instructor you will be responsible to the Swimming Co-ordinator. The role will include: Providing a high standard group exercise class in the pool, in a safe manner for ante/post natal customers. To ensure classes start and finish on time and follow the scheduled class format at the appropriate intensity level. To be available before and after the class to answer any questions and talk to customers. Applicants must hold an industry recognised fitness qualification supported by an Ante/Post Natal element.
The position is part time, up to £26.09 per hour, based at Andover Leisure Centre.
F/T Lifeguard
As a Lifeguard you will be part of the Wetside team and be responsible to the Operations Manager. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is motivated, driven and has a desire to work within health, fitness and leisure. The role will include: Ensuring the constant safety of all pool users Supervising customer usage of all pools, in line with the operating procedures of the Centre Supervision of changing, shower and toilet areas To undertake first aid as required, and to deal with emergency incidents in line with the Emergency Action Plans of the Centre Comply with and apply all Customer Care Procedures in accordance with company policy to maximise customers’ enjoyment Applicants should hold a current NPLQ qualification.
The position is full time based at Andover Leisure Centre. £6.09 - £6.86 per hour.
Operations Manager
As Operations Managers you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the delivery of exceptional operational standards. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is motivated, driven and has a desire to work within health, fitness and leisure. The role will include: The management of Wet facilities, activities and staff to comply with best practice, Health & Safety and Industry Standards. Ensuring financial targets are met in all aspects of the wet casual, use programmed sessions and swim school. Ensuring that all Operational Staff, including the Duty Officers and swimming teachers are recruited, trained and developed to fulfil their roles and comply with Industry Standards. Responsibility to Line Manage the Duty Officers ensuring operational cover at both sites is provided at all times. Actively developing and promoting new business with the introduction of innovative programming and new facilities. Applicants should have in depth knowledge of all aspects of managing swimming pools, leisure management qualification of equivalent experience a recognised Health & Safety qualification and First Aid at Work qualification.
The position is full-time based at Andover Leisure Centre. Salary up to £24, 000 with opportunity to earn up to £26, 400.
Level 2 Swimming Teacher
This role is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual who is passionate about teaching swimming and has a desire to work within health, fitness and leisure. As a Swimming Teacher you will be responsible to the Swimming Co-ordinator for the safety and efficient instruction of swimming to customers. The role will include: Effective instruction of swimming to the highest standard Ensuring health and safety of all pupils The preparation of classes to include end of course assessments and award schemes To liaise with the Swimming Co-ordinator with regard to any relevant topics Applicants must hold an ASA level 2 qualification or equivalent.
The position is part time based at Andover Leisure Centre. £12.97-£16.26 per hour dependent on qualifications.
