‘I Can’ Receptionist

Part Time, Short-term, Temporary
(4 hours per week – Tuesdays – 3.30pm-7.30pm)

The ‘I Can’ Receptionist is a new role for Valley Leisure Ltd and is key to supporting the Coordinator with the smooth day-to-day running of the I Can Therapy Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced customer service operator or administrator who will ensure the smooth delivery of the ‘I Can’ reception and exercise circuit within the Centre whilst an increase in opening hours is being trialed with a view to meeting user demand.

The ‘I Can’ Therapy Centre is an exciting new facility in Andover which aims to provide an opportunity for people to move more and feel better with a view to supporting them to live as independently as possible, as well as possible, for as long as possible.

This role will include ensuring excellent customer service is provided to all users, effectively administrating the booking and payment process, positively promoting the service and facility to generate and retain users.

‘I Can’ Volunteer

Are you helpful, friendly, chatty, sociable, supportive and encouraging?
Can you spare some time?

We are looking for volunteers to join our small and friendly team at the I Can Therapy Centre in a variety of roles including Activity Buddy, One-to-one Activity Buddy and Administrator.

The ‘I Can’ Therapy Centre is a specially adapted power assisted exercise facility helping people to move more and feel better.

‘I Can’ volunteers are needed for regular periods during the opening hours of the Therapy Centre (currently Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm) to support Therapy Centre users by creating a warm, friendly and welcoming environment and providing encouragement and guidance to users of the power assisted exercise equipment in addition to supporting various administrative elements of the Centre.

A small team of paid staff including a Centre Coordinator, Physiotherapist and Community Health Development Manager will support all ‘I Can’ Volunteers in their role.

Uniform and full training will be provided.
