Golfer, Peter Merry, was awarded the P E Bradbury Autumn Cup recently after a tense match-up at Charlton Lakes Golf Community’s annual autumn competition.

Merry won the cup with a total of 7 under par. His opponent, Andy Ward, finished with a total of 4 under par.

The competition had two medal rounds. In the first round, Andy Ward (handicap 5) equalled the course record with a round of five under par with Peter Merry (handicap 11) two shots behind.

The second round saw Andy’s double bogie on the 15th hole limit his score to level par while Peter had a blistering 6 under par, shooting him into the lead, ultimately winning the cup.

Merry was presented the trophy by last year’s Autumn Cup victor, Peter Barclay.
