Over 200 Santa’s jingled all the way around Romsey town centre this Sunday as part of the Romsey Santa Fun Run.

The town was filled with Christmas cheer as children, adults and even pets donned the big man’s red robes.

Mayor of Romsey, Cllr John Parker opened the event and took part in the festive two lap race. There was also a winter warm up led by Valley Leisure fitness instructor, Sassi Page before the event kicked off.

Out of the 200 strong crowd, it was 15-year-old Charlie Teal who took 1st place. He said: “It was really good but tiring! I lapped half the people there!”

This was the second year in a row that Valley Leisure has hosted the event. The charitable trust also held a fun run in Andover on the same day.
