A spot-the-difference with a difference will be taking place in the centre of Romsey on 13 December as the streets are set to be filled with masses of hot-footed, red-suited Santas.

The very first Romsey Santa fun run will make sure the season’s festivities are carried off in the most spectacular style. Young and old people can run, walk, jog or even skip around the mile long event, which is organised by Valley Leisure, which manages the Romsey Rapids Sports Complex on behalf of Test Valley Borough Council.

“This is the first Santa Fun Run we’ve organised for Romsey. But we’re expecting it to be very popular and to become an annual event,” said Chris Attrill from Valley Leisure.“We hope to get many generations – from grandparents to babies – involved. People can push a pram, walk the dog or just stroll around the route and enjoy the ambience.

The event starts and finishes at the Crosfield Hall in Romsey.

Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for children and can be pre-booked online or purchased from Romsey Rapids Sports Complex reception.
Everyone who pre-books is guaranteed a Santa suit.. Pre-booked Santa suits can be picked up from the Romsey Rapids Sports Centre before to the event or on the day from the Crosfield Hall at registration.

Any profits made from the event will be donated to Cancer Research.

Registration on the day opens at 8.30am at the Crosfield Hall and the run kicks off at 10am with a warm up at 9:15am.

Valley Leisure organise events, such as the fun run, to help more people become more active and support the local community.
