Charity Santa Fun Run FAQ – Sunday 9th December 2018

What is it?

First of all, it is not a race. This is a fun run of 1 mile through Andover town centre. You can run, jog or walk it. It is open to any age and ability, individual, family or group. As part of the fun run, the entry fee includes a Santa suit with a hat and beard for you to wear for the run. You may keep the suit. All entrants will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.

What does it cost?

The entry fee is:

  • Adult (14yrs+) – £8.00
  • Youth (8-14yrs) – £7.00
  • Child (4-8yrs) – £6.00

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the run.

The entry fee covers administration, running costs, the Santa suits, and commemorative certificate.

All profits from the Fun Run will go to the ‘I Can’ Therapy Centre, which is a registered trademark of Valley Leisure Ltd. Charity Number 800760.

‘I Can’ Therapy Centre provides a bespoke new exercise experience which combines the clinical knowledge and expertise of a therapy led service with a community based rehabilitation facility for the benefit of those with health conditions and also those looking to mobilise and feel better.

The ‘I Can’ Therapy Centre enables users to move more and to feel better – physically, mentally and socially.

With a unique support system in place, from a Physiotherapist, Centre Coordinator and team of volunteers ‘I Can’ Activity Buddies, users of the ‘I Can’ Therapy Centre will feel encouraged and enabled to move more in a warm, welcoming, safe and supported environment.

What is the route and how difficult is it?

The route will start and end at the Bridge Street Methodist Church. The route will take you past Domino’s Pizza, past the Star & Garter and up the High Street to the top of Chantry Street.
