About Valley Leisure

Valley Leisure was established as a charity in 1990 with a broad remit to advance health and wellbeing for the public benefit.

Valley Leisure operated the Leisure provision across Test Valley for Test Valley Borough Council for over 25 years and the charity was one of the largest local employers in Test Valley, welcoming more than 1 million visits each year across the 5 leisure sites with a clear commitment to service excellence and improvement which was recognised by the national industry benchmarking programme – Quest – which is backed by Sport England. The main sites in Andover and Romsey were graded as excellent, placing them within the top 10% across the UK.

The charity has a strong ethos of community engagement having developed links with in excess of 150 community organisations.

Valley Leisure currently operates Riverside Bowl and the new I Can Therapy Centre.

Riverside Bowl is an innovative service utilising bowling and glo-golf to engage the community in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the general public.

The I Can Therapy Centre opened in November 2017 by Dr Sara Payne MBE and is a unique and bespoke power assisted exercise facility which aims to enable everyone, irrespective of age, mobility or health to move more and feel better.

The charity seeks to engage with people of all ages and physical abilities to promote active lifestyles in furtherance of the public benefit.
