Wednesday 2nd October marked a special occasion in Andover as the town hosted its first-ever Parkinson’s UK Community Café ☕.
Held at the Methodist Church on Bridge Street, this opening event drew a fantastic crowd, each person coming together to share advice, stories, and experiences related to living with Parkinson’s disease.
The atmosphere was warm and supportive, with attendees finding comfort and encouragement in connecting with others who understand their journey. Whether newly diagnosed or caring for a loved one with Parkinson’s, everyone found something valuable in the shared moments of support and camaraderie.
Missed the first café? Don’t worry! The next event is already scheduled for Wednesday, 6th November, once again at the Methodist Church on Bridge Street. This will be another opportunity for those affected by Parkinson’s—whether directly or through caregiving—to come together and lean on each other in this ongoing journey.
If you or someone you know could benefit from the support and connection this group offers, be sure to mark your calendar. We can’t wait to see you there!
