On Wednesday, Tia represented Riverside Bowl at the highly anticipated Surviving Summer event, hosted by Parents Empowered by Andover Schools (PEAS), at The Lights Theatre. This event, building on the success of last year’s gathering, returned with a mission to equip parents, carers, and families with essential information about the support and resources available in Andover.
Tia, along with other representatives from various local organizations, was present to engage with attendees and provide valuable insights into the services Riverside Bowl offers. She said:
“The Surviving Summer event was wonderfully organised by PEAS, and hosted by The Lights. There were a great variety of services and charities present, all with the aim to make summer a success for families this year. It was a privilege to take part, providing a welcomed opportunity to engage with members of the community – some of which had never heard of Riverside Bowl! It also proved to be a great networking opportunity, meeting representatives of different groups for example, young carers, TVBC and Simon Says. We hope to be back again next year!”
Events like Surviving Summer are vital for building and strengthening community bonds. By bringing together families and providing them with the tools they need to thrive. The Riverside Bowl team are looking forward to more opportunities to engage with the community and support local families.
In the meantime, Riverside Bowl is ready to welcome families for a summer full of fun and memorable experiences. Here’s to another successful Surviving Summer event!
