On Monday 11th May 2026, our Monday Kurling group enjoyed a fantastic morning at Enham, joining forces with their own Kurling participants for a lively and memorable session. From the moment everyone arrived, the atmosphere was full of energy, curiosity, and friendly competition.
One of the most inspiring parts of the morning was the incredible diversity in the room. People took part in all sorts of ways – standing, sitting, with support, without support – and every approach was welcomed and celebrated. It was wonderful to see everyone fully involved in a way that suited them best.
The visit also gave both groups a great chance to explore the different ways we all play the game. Techniques were shared, and there was no shortage of laughter as stones glided towards the mat. The encouragement between players created a real sense of connection and teamwork.
A special mention must go to Chris W, one of our dedicated volunteers. The Enham group were using a different style of mat without numbers, which many of their players really liked. Chris went out of his way to purchase a similar mat for Enham – a thoughtful and generous gesture that was truly appreciated.
We’re excited to say that both groups hope to come together every quarter for future joint sessions. After such a positive morning, it’s clear that these meet‑ups offer something special for everyone involved.
A huge thank you to Enham for welcoming us so warmly and hosting us in their fantastic sports hall. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to come together for more Kurling fun and shared moments.
