We’re so proud to shine a light on one of our amazing volunteers – Evie, a dedicated student who has been volunteering with the I Can Therapy Centre for over a year. Her journey with us has been nothing short of inspirational, and we’re thrilled to celebrate her progress, commitment, and the positive energy she brings to the centre every week.
Evie lives with a condition that can make communication and learning more challenging at times – but she hasn’t let that stop her. In fact, since joining the I Can Therapy Centre, Evie has excelled in every way.
Being part of the I Can team has meant so much to Evie – not only has she enjoyed the structure and sense of purpose it provides, but she’s also grown in confidence, both personally and socially.
One of Evie’s Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) shared how much she’s developed over the past year. When Evie first started, she was shy – often unable to approach customers independently. Now, she walks around the centre freely, chatting confidently with customers and staff alike – something that once felt impossible.
Evie’s mum couldn’t be prouder either, telling us: “She loves going to work, and the fact she has her own uniform and badge is just the icing on the cake for her.”
Watching her grow into her role has been an absolute joy, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our team.
We’re so proud of you Evie!
