On Tuesday 5th May 2026, the Riverside Activity Zone team welcomed Kenzi, alongside Alfie, for her work-experience placement. 

For Kenzi, her time at Riverside Activity Zone was a hands-on introduction to a dynamic and engaging workplace.

Exploring Every Experience
One of the highlights of Kenzi’s placement was the opportunity to explore everything the venue has to offer. From testing different machines to experiencing activities first-hand, she was able to step into the shoes of a customer while also understanding how each attraction operates.

Just as impactful was the team around her. Meeting the staff and becoming part of a friendly, supportive environment helped Kenzi quickly settle in and make the most of her time. The relationships she built played a big role in shaping her overall experience.

Learning Skills That Matter
Kenzi’s placement wasn’t just about fun – it was also about developing practical, real-world skills. She learned how to clean and maintain the ice cream machine, gaining insight into the importance of hygiene and responsibility in a hospitality setting.

Alongside these hands-on tasks, Kenzi also noticed a boost in her confidence. Being in a new environment, interacting with staff, and taking on responsibilities helped her grow more self-assured in her abilities.

Looking Ahead
By the end of her work experience, Kenzi walked away with more than just memories. She gained valuable knowledge and transferable skills that will support her in future opportunities and potential career paths.
