Week 4 Update
String Pins extended their lead at the top of the table with a 6-2 victory over Easy Easy You Shutup, despite losing the 1st game by just 6 pins and then narrowly winning the 2nd by 7 pins. The final game sealed the win, with a score of 407 to 360 that helped take the overall total as well.
Easy Easy are now joined on 16 points with the Pin Pricks, who played their blind catch-up match against the Bagel Boys from week 2, which ended in an 8-0 win for the Pin Pricks.
The Pin Heads are joint 4th place after a 6-2 win over last season’s Champions Team Turkey. The Pin Heads took a commanding 4-0 lead after winning the opening game 386 – 364 and then the 2nd game 437 – 387. Team Turkey so nearly earned a 4-4 draw, with Jason top scoring with an impressive 244 scratch, which is now the top High Game Scratch and High Game Handicap for the season, but they fell short of the overall total points – losing 1,193 to Pin Head’s 1,195. This result means Team Turkey are bottom of the league currently on 2 points but they do have a catch-up game to play against the Bagel Boys.
The Bagel Boys themselves moved off the bottom with an 8-0 win over The Tumbleweeds. Alex’s high series scratch score of 608 ensured the victory, despite the Tumbleweeds scoring over 400 in the 2nd and 3rd matches (401 & 419). The Bagel Boys took the High Series Handicap total for the week with a massive 1,247.
